Our Perfect Parmas

Our version of a perfect Parmas featuring CHEER Parma Blend Shredded Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breast, cut in half horizontally
  • ¾ cup plain flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1½ cups panko bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup oil to shallow fry
  • 200gm chunky tomato sauce
  • 200gm shaved ham
  • 250g CHEER Parma Blend Shredded Cheese
  • 2 teas paprika (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180c. Place flour and seasoning into a shallow bowl and combine well. Place the eggs into a separate shallow bowl. Place crumbs into another shallow bowl and stir to combine.
  2. Coat each chicken breast in the flour mixture, shaking off excess. Then dip into the egg mix and finish by coating with the crumbs, pressing firmly.
  3. Heat the oil in a heavy fry pan on medium heat. Add the crumbed chicken and fry for 3-4 minutes, on each side, or until chicken is just cooked through and crumbs are golden.
  4. Transfer the breasts to a lined baking tray. Spread a bit of the sauce, then top with the shaved ham. Add the CHEER Parma Blend Shredded Cheese and a sprinkle of paprika.
  5. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and golden brown. Serve immediately.
